Der Jan wants to ask why is the chainring is being the size of a tea cup?

it's actually fair-sized for a SS MTB - I'm running a 34x18 which with those tires is fairly steep. (but like the seat, the chainring looks tiny compared to the wheels)

Here is my '80s Bianchi San Remo. I did my paper route on it (with gears), it went to college with me, sat in the garage for 10 years, and now is resurrected:

The bottom bracket, cranks, stem, handlebars, brake levers, pedals, and seat are all original. The frame is a Japanese Bianchi sport touring frame. I don't know where the wheels came from and the tires are the stock tires from my new geared bike. It is now a very quiet single speed! Soon it will have a new seat, handlebar, and fenders. Once the fenders are installed it is going to be the bad weather commuter. Not sure if the bike is worth much, but it has mucho sentimental value to me.

Oh man do I have a soft spot for Surlys....that Karate Monkey is stunning. I also love the paint on the ^^Bianchi. That red is so deep and rich! Such a classy ride.

It's not fixed gear/ss, but speaking about Surlys, I ditched my FS rig last week. All parts were swapped over to my Instigator and I have zero regrets. The bike looks so nice and clean. SS related, I may be picking up a used, fully rigid Bianchi S.I.S.S. to replace my trusty conversion soon.

Take care,
Kevin

Hickabod, how do you like those wheels? I've been eyeing those deep Weinmanns for a few weeks, wondered if the wheels were true/light/durable etc.
