I take awful photos. Rides so nice. I was cackling and grinning like a madman about 10 miles into its break in ride on Sunday afternoon, on PCH. This will be a velodrome and special occasions only bike once my Dura Ace hubs get in.

For starters, move the bike into the light. Unless its a vampire bike. Then it would burst into flames, so don't move it into the sunlight. Nice bike.

Ah, finally one I can call my own. :)

That's as good as black magic to me. Back to watching my vhs's.

gregg - i guess you could say that I've got a funny bone.

endo shi - nice ride. Riding a Samson for the first time is like getting an acceptance letter from Harvard. Less expensive, though.

So....my guerciotti got destroyed this weekend. I'll have pictures up of it when it makes it way back from atlanta to savannah. But the gold wheels and the frame are jacked. The only salvagable parts are the fork, headset, stem, bars(sorta, pictured below), driveside crank, saddle and post.

So heres my temporary ride until i can build up another bike.

i just threw it together the night before, but i fixed the seat angle later.

handlebars, a little jacked.

The new steed.
Frame by DW, we talked about how the bike should ride, what I would be using it for, and paint. The end result is perfect. I've never, ever been more in-tune with a bike. The bike feels exactly how it should, and behaves exactly how I wanted it to, the fit is perfect, everything just flows on this bike.

...and I am definitely very impressed by Don's ability to make exactly the bike that I wanted that fits me exactly how it should.

Did you tell DW you were using risers on it (serious question)?

Judah 03-12-07 11:51 PM

yes I did.
Don is a friend, he may not agree with my choices but he supports them and built an amazing bike for me around them nonetheless.

He also knows that the bike will probably never see a velodrome...

Cool, just curious because I know some builders ask specifically what bars, others make assumptions. Great bike.
