gregg - i guess you could say that I've got a funny bone.
endo shi - nice ride. Riding a Samson for the first time is like getting an acceptance letter from Harvard. Less expensive, though. |
So....my guerciotti got destroyed this weekend. I'll have pictures up of it when it makes it way back from atlanta to savannah. But the gold wheels and the frame are jacked. The only salvagable parts are the fork, headset, stem, bars(sorta, pictured below), driveside crank, saddle and post.
So heres my temporary ride until i can build up another bike. i just threw it together the night before, but i fixed the seat angle later. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y13...empride002.jpg handlebars, a little jacked. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y13...empride004.jpg |

The new steed.
Frame by DW, we talked about how the bike should ride, what I would be using it for, and paint. The end result is perfect. I've never, ever been more in-tune with a bike. The bike feels exactly how it should, and behaves exactly how I wanted it to, the fit is perfect, everything just flows on this bike. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/180/4...7897a0ce_b.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/130/4...a4955ebf_b.jpg This: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/184/4...cc491f78_b.jpg Replaced this: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/46/14...f2e2aab1_o.jpg ...and I am definitely very impressed by Don's ability to make exactly the bike that I wanted that fits me exactly how it should. |

yes I did.
Don is a friend, he may not agree with my choices but he supports them and built an amazing bike for me around them nonetheless. He also knows that the bike will probably never see a velodrome... |
