Here's my re-painted Mark V, all practical and comfy.

The brake hoods have been raised a bit, the saddle is now totally level, and those black eggbeaters busted into a billion pieces yesterday, but this is pretty accurate. Getting brake hoods (and the aero lever) was the best thing I've ever done to this bike.

im pretty sure he gets them from performance. he has about a million of those things.

DasProfezzional 03-06-07 04:03 PM

Indeed. They're called Quickstands, and while often a pain to set up, they are cheap and handy.

I love it. It had been a long time since I felt all warm n' fuzzy about a bike.

Long live practicality.

No_Minkah 03-06-07 04:34 PM

Thanks, much appreciated!

I agree. That bike looks very nice.

DoshKel 03-06-07 05:01 PM

Indeed it does.

Very, very nice.

Same here. Just last night my smoking, non-riding co-workers were saying i spend all my money on my bike. Its always got differnet parts when they see it.
Actually i didnt. I got next to nothing (IMO) in my bike.
They spend more on smokes than i spend on parts in a month i bet.

doofo 03-06-07 10:04 PM

why not wrap the drops?

jacobpriest 03-06-07 10:08 PM

because he doesnt use them, I have a lot of friends who wrap like that.
You may say after that "why would you use drops?" Well, the answer to that is because the forward shoulder position of a track drop is the best position of any bar ever.

doofo 03-06-07 10:12 PM

i could have guessed

why not get different bars then

my eyes hurt

A few shots from Sunday's Sprintclub race!

Is that the race track in southlake richmond or something everyone keeps telling me about?

12XU 03-06-07 11:02 PM

FINISHED. I feel like a total tramp for taking pictures inside and for not having it covered in mud...

This crankset/freewheel is the roundest pairing I've ever seen in my life!! There is absolutely NO eccentricity to be found, unlike so many track setups I've dealt with.

Hard up front, sprung out back.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...r/P1010009.jpg

The trails should be dry any day now..

pat dasein 03-06-07 11:04 PM

Is that fixed? If so that would be a ridiculous downhill spinning workout.

12XU 03-06-07 11:09 PM

Freewheel. Fixed MTBs don't strike me as bringing anywhere near the bliss of a freewheel single speed. Also, please no one seriously respond to my post since it's not a dented keirin frame or IRO with a stupid seat or bar angle.

pat dasein 03-06-07 11:13 PM

cheer up, bro. I like your bicycle.
