So you ride it in the rain. What is your point. I never cared about whether bikes get ridden or not or how much they are abused(in fact I oppose the later when a better suited bike could be used). Rather, not being built for how they will ride and last for their intended use but for how they will look is what I oppose.

It does waste time at work, so we agree there.

The frame isn't as light as my concept, in fact the overall build is slightly heavier. The ride is the improvement.

The paul cranks are overpriced pieces of ****? How so? How many hours/miles have you logged on these particular cranks that you can make such a judgement? Expensive? Tell me why you think that, have you priced them out in comparison to a set of sugino 75s and chainring? Do tell.

I wanna get this straight.....so after messin for 6 years, then putting myself through school, gettin' jobs, all the while riding because I LOVE riding.... you will be offended by a bike I might build up because I never could afford the **** I wanted to ride on back in the day? Based on the logic posted above, there shouldn't be ANY fixies out there on the streets at all, as they should all be on the track. Yea why would I put Road Warrior Deep V's on a thin tubed track racer? I figure after all the miles I've logged over 25+ years of riding I'll build any bike I please, Thank-you very much. If someone wants to build a week-end art bike, I'm all for it. That said you are entitled to your opinion of course, and I will defend your right to say it.

In that case tange is drastically misrepresenting the frame weight(the smallest size is 3cm larger then the pista).

I have logged no miles on those cranks nor will I ever probably. I don't have to. A spiderless, solid, square tapered, cnced(?) crankset is piece of **** these days for $200+. Add in the pointlessly proprietary chainrings for good measure and you've really brewed up a ****ty(though easily recognizable) waste of your money.

You've got a sweet ride.

jesus with all this family fighting it's been like 7 pages since you posted this, but anyways, thanks for the kind words. i do catering over there. i'm actually away on the road more than i'm home in a given year, so it might seem sporadic when i'm locked up. i have a white track bike as well that i ride when it's not salty (see sig). if you ever see me riding say hi, or PM me and we should ride...

hell, if I come to dublin, I'll drop you a line. That would be super rad to work there.

How often does it rain there? Well, moreso, what is the climate and weather like regularly?
