And it's freakin' hilarious!

Mercier666 07-16-05 08:00 PM

Up next...new wheels w/ Suntour Superbe hubs & non-machined purple Deep-V's. Hott!

Dude,

Level off the seat . Get longer crank arms or larger frame.

RG, your seat angle is just that - YOURS!

BTW---Your "2005" GIF is hilarious and your bike kicks ass. But then, what else is new?

Looks like an old body geometry saddle. I have one of those. Super comfortable, huh? (no comment about seat tilt. whatever floats your boat)

Mercier666 07-17-05 12:43 AM

I have a newer body geometry-very comfy.

just finished lacing these exact wheels up! (oh and the guys at the shop wouldn't let me call them purple, they're 'eggplant!')

Good god-man, of course they're "eggplant;" hell even I can see that.

No thanks, I'm really comfy with the set up. It's probably the largest track frame I've ridden too.

I like the seat on that angle since none of my junk touches it. My ass (can I say ass?!) rides on the top part. No worry about losing the ability to, uh...you know...

Dubteka did you get them at Freewheel? Because they always call 'em "eggplant" instead of purple. They look great though.

weed eater 07-17-05 01:16 PM

They're either "eggplant" or "aubergine." Maybe "black plum."

Mercier666 07-17-05 05:44 PM

Haha. Do eggplants even look like that?? I've never seen one.

weed eater 07-17-05 06:57 PM

Except for the metallic sheen, pretty much exactly. Dude. A varied diet is good for you. Eat an eggplant.

benny 07-17-05 08:35 PM

yeah those eggplant deep v's are hot!

Mercier666 07-17-05 09:38 PM

Man. I gotta see your bike in real life. You know Dokushoka right? (He's my brother).
And...I eat fruits everyday...I've just never seen the inside of an eggplant.

kennethalan 07-17-05 09:43 PM

The inside is white.

<They're either "eggplant" or "aubergine." Maybe "black plum.">

If you are in France and you want to buy an eggplant, you ask for an aubergine s'il vous plait.

So aubergine is just pretentious eggplant with a bad attitude and should forthright be renamed freedomplant.

jonb 07-17-05 10:16 PM

hahah classic! rally round the freedom plant!

well, hell, he sits on his arms so he could probably nail a pie pan on there and be equally comfortable.

yah! dokushoka is fun to ride with, him and colin. Going to be at the monkey wrench race thingy this saturday. SF bay area heads come on out and play!

not to make this thread any more derailed... early pics below of my colnago pista. I'll get pics of it's newest form with the wheels shortly.

1. drive side shot of the colnago.
2. signed personally by ernesto colnago himself! :D
3. rear wheel laced 3x drive side, radial non-drive side! superbe pro hubs laced to campy record tubular rims
4. perfect reason to never let your friends borrow your vintage raleigh fixie!

soulcialist 07-18-05 12:01 AM

i have such a thing for the colnagos without the ugly new paint jobs! that bike is rad!

bodegabandit 07-18-05 12:06 AM

Nice bike! How did your friend do that?

dubteka 07-18-05 12:10 AM

thanks! the new paint jobs on colnagos are horrible.
don't know really how he busted the cranks. he said it just snapped! they were pretty old cranks though.

sloppy robot 07-18-05 12:19 AM
