Don't hate. I've ridden bmx platform pedals/brakeless for work for a good minute, rocking like a 49/18. It felt good on my knees, especially not having that much pulling pressure on my joints.

Assuming that I ride everywhere with it and that its my main bike that gets ridden hard and put away wet- Unwise. The bike will get clipless and a brake when I can afford it. Right now its just for playing around going slow.

I feel the same way. I just play around, mostly practicing track stands. Later on I'm going to add clipless pedals and a front brake so that I can use it as my backup/good weather commuter. My all weather commuter is also a fixed gear (see my sig). It has two brakes, two racks, etc.

This one is 48/19 and it feels good.

I'm so in love with this frame. Theres lots of photos here.

Did this fellow Ditta bring the frame to you at zeitgeist. If so I was there when he gave it to you. Either way beautiful frame.

It would make a good polo bike in that config.

I think it looks like a penis, especially the version with the black leather and blue nose tip...
comfy as HELL though.

Most bike saddles look like wieners anymore.

Here is my SS conversion - an old KHS "winner" 10 speed off of Craig's list. I'm liking it so far - still need to get a new crankset . . .

You FOUND that at the dump?

wethepeople 03-31-07 08:36 PM

I know it's low end crap, but I figure the frame/fork/cranks are fine for a decent fixie conversion. It needs wheels (The stockers looked like they had a tractor run them over) but other then that it was complete. Altus dérailleurs, Dia-Comp center pulls a sweet seat. I cannot find any serial numbers though which leaves wondering. I am pretty darn sure it's from the '80's ('cause of the kickass seat pattern). The paint seems fine along with the chrome on the fork (thats why I grabbed it actually) and it looks/feels like it fits, but I cant ride it yet so we'll see.

Considering the center-pulls and the clamp on downtube guides, I would guess 70s. Maybe very early 80s

My Bianchi Brava, it rides really nice, but I am not satisfied with my bars and paint.
