not as wierd as the canondale track frames from the 90's

Igneous Faction 03-23-07 12:46 PM

Ringracer's bike is like the grown-up, more refined, better financed version of mine. I really need to get pictures up.

I changed the fork so I could go threaded and have more adjustability, plus better stem/bar choices.
Cheers.

Not a good photo of my every day ride, but I thought I should share. Not a good photo of me either, but I'm a ****ing monster. I'm huge, and I wear humans for backpacks.

HAHAHAHA, Just thought I should share.

I was about to mention that as well.

Wouldn't that cause some headset sizing issues from 1 1/8" to 1"? CK Devolution?

nice set up. I just went to the LBS to check out that frame. Now I just have to find what kind of wheels and cranks and other stuff.

Ha! My first thought was, "Oh man, that bike looks great - good thing he lost that hideous stock fork."

DoshKel 03-23-07 02:55 PM

Me too. I really don't like the BK forks.

Neither do I, or that it's drilled. Other than that I have no issue wit it.

metallo pesante 03-23-07 04:12 PM

So here's my new ride, to replace my destroyed guerciotti. It's a Hoffy track frame, reynolds 531. Australian.

It's got:
my old Guerciotti Fork, halfway through the paint strip
specialized headset
nitto jaguar
crap seatpost to be replaced
brooks swallow
random parts bin risers, to be replaced
fuji BB cups with a sugino spindle
campy pista cranks
sugino mighty comp 49T ring.
shimano 600 pedals, soma doubles

and my friends temp wheelset
surly hub in the back to velocity aerohead with miche cog carrier
spinergy rev x up front

jacobpriest 03-23-07 04:27 PM

That is the most interesting build i have seen in a while

phoenix 03-23-07 04:55 PM

That thing is a giant! Look good though.

BuddyMike 03-23-07 05:45 PM

That looks nice. Borrowing those wheels while he is in france? What happened to your yellow deep V wheelset?

wethepeople 03-23-07 05:56 PM

Flipped the wheel to the fixed side today. Riding it was just like a normal fixie, but getting on and off suddenly got a lot harder.

Yo man,

The hoffy looks sweet!

Nice work,

Boston Erik

ps. fence post? yeah dude, what-ever....

BuddyMike 03-23-07 06:18 PM

That fence post bike looked scary. The funniest thing about that bike was the pink rear triangle from the 16 inch girls bike.

carson, is the Guerciotti logo imprinted on the top of the fork or is that a sticker?

Broadway bridge off the 1&9 line. I've trooped those Metro North tracks many, many times. Nice to see a fixed gear up in the Bronx.

thebigpicture 03-24-07 12:41 AM

that hoffy is amazing.
