*yawn* everyone has a keirin bike....

(nice bike Galen, glad you finally got it done :p )

drac_vamp 09-23-05 02:51 PM

it's great though, driving the demand for italian frames down which translates to big savings for the discriminating collector. "you don't own a cinelli, you simply keep it safe for the next generation."

Judah 09-23-05 02:56 PM

Bah, collectors...

Now that is a proper track bike (LOL) Not sure I like the top tube pad (reminds me of something guys with no traps use for their squats).

But I can't...

Amen brother. Although I dunno if my drawers want me to.

mr.goggles 09-24-05 05:25 PM

i stripped all the paint down primered it and painted it in 3 coats and 2 coats clearcoat. i also built a homemade oven with an old lizard cage + tin foil + heat lamp to kind of bake the paint. all said an done, if i could do it over i would just get it powdercoated. i've been using the bike for 3 weeks and it already looks like it should be many years old, lol

This is my new ride! I just finished building it a couple months ago.

IRO MarkV 62cm frame
Dimension cyclocross disc fork
avid road disc brake
Truvativ elita crank
some truvative BB(crank and BB were the only used parts)
Salsa 45T chainring (i've been experimenting with differnt sizes here in the flatland of delaware, i might increase again even)
crank brothers mallet pedals
Thompson seatpost and stem
WTB Laser Pro saddle
i think they are ritchey bars with fancy red tape:-)
wheels are beautifully built by Velocity
front is deepV all black, black spokes and nipples and disc hub too
rear is deepV all black, black spokes and nipples and flipflop hub
1/8" PC-1 chain with 15T trackcog (lockring came with hub - Formula)
i forget the brand of the cog...but it's euro asian or something
ACS claws 16T on the free side also 1/8"
tires, now here is the part everyone should convert to. Tufo Elite Pro tubular clinchers. My front is at 160psi and the rear is at 200psi. i weigh about 250lbs and because the rubber is so thick on these tires it's still a smooth ride at that pressure. They are amazing and worth the money.
