i see too many gears.
"one of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn't belong..." well, 2 actually, but the song didn't work like that. |
what light switches? I see too many gears. Wrong forum?
|
maybe he thought since he took off one of the front chainrings it counted?

:) i would of taken more pics but to tell you the truth their owners were those too cool for you types and since my bike was inside and i don't dress the part they really gave me the cold shoulder... but whatever their loss really, one of them was talking about going and getting beer, and i work in the bar next door to where they were eating, and would of grabbed them a couple of rounds had they been friendly. |

howdy,
been reading the forums for a while, but just registered so i'd thought i'd post some images of my sled. yes its a conversion...an old steel trek 420 with a rattlecan paint job, but sanded and well primed, so it doesn't chip quite as badly as it might otherwise. runnin' 44x16, with deep v's laced to black phil's, 3TTT stem, Nitto B-123 bars, slr saddle, shimano crankset, conti gatorskins, and champ grips. most components were ebay finds, but the frame was a lbs score - they had a difficult time selling it with biopace rings so i got a pretty good deal! i'll try to attach clickable thumbnails, but am not especially web savy - any help is certainly appreciated! |

Speaking of twins and pink and black bikes, mine and Molly's bike, both of our wheels were built by Marcus at Yojimbo's.
Mine in it's old configuration (it's brakeless with drops now): http://static.flickr.com/13/19603966_06c6d4037a_o.jpg Molly's: http://static.flickr.com/33/38805089_5d7fd66865_o.jpg |
you guys need to form a club and go on group rides. wearing only black and pink
|
Eddie - oh, that's already done. You should see me in my T-Mobile kit.

umm,
teadogg's bike is indeed a doppelganger... as for a club... perhaps i can make it to CHI for the BF meet and greet and we can form a posse, as in "my posse has velocity(ies)" |

Just finished... sort of... it's still a work in progress. I'm waiting for the track drops/track stem for track use so it's in street mode now. I also have to decide where to cut the fork. I got carried away with the "all black bike" theme and had some stuff (hubs and crankset) anodized.
Frame is an EAI Bare Knuckle. I absolutely love it. As soon as I get my drops I'm going to hit up Alpenrose. Big thanks to Dean at Bike-Central in Portland. http://oregonstate.edu/~davisda/bin/eai1t.jpg http://oregonstate.edu/~davisda/bin/eai2t.jpg http://oregonstate.edu/~davisda/bin/eai3t.jpg |

you have the track bike on there too right? both absurdly beautiful machines. you must now have neither arm nor leg, because each of those bikes must have cost a set. :)
|
zerobug - keep that bike out of the sun to prevent burns upon mounting.
