love the off road angus. looks like a blast!

goldener 04-19-07 09:24 PM

i never knew that a standard ultegra road caliper has so much tyre clearance.

el twe 04-19-07 09:36 PM

Thanks all, it's quite a bit o' fun. The saddle - my ass loves it (although the Ti is a little more cushy). The bars - more of a burly mountain set-up, but still good for road riding (I have a narrow set of flats I used when this was a true road track bike). The pedals - once again, this bike does double duty, and I prefer clips and straps on this bike, keeping the Time ATACs on the roadie bike. The brake - yeah, pretty cool. The fork was the main issue, but the tire fits like a glove.

I wonder what I could fit on my bareknuckle. There are a lot of trails around here that I would like to explore.

the rear of the bike will only allow you to go 23c max or maybe 25c if you get lucky
the front should be similar

fibergoldfish 04-20-07 11:45 AM

I will be able to do that on the Group buy bike right?......RIGHT?

ack. it looks like this picture is the best that i could muster up. i was going to take another, but was too busy with work. at least this is better than the ****ty resolution of the other. it's a super fun bike to ride and the frame is virtually immaculate.

yes, i still rock powergrips. the stem is from bensbike before they stopped selling the anodized stuff. tristan got the bars and i am going to be putting the seatpost on the chopping block pretty soon.

sniks 04-21-07 12:47 PM

thats some frosty pink goodness right there pal . very nice

sashae 04-21-07 01:45 PM

That bike is not nearly pink enough.

humancongereel 04-21-07 01:48 PM

that bike is ridiculous. exactly what we expect from you, shants. good job!

The Bob Jackson looks very nice. Great color. :)
Wish it had a threaded fork.

piwonka 04-22-07 09:26 AM

BUro,

are you using hte campy BB with those cranks?
how tight is the clearance between the crank amrs and the chainstays?
i'm thinking about getting some of those.
