re: the cinelli—
Love the frame, fork, wheels, lacing, crankset, saddle, and colours. But I think that stem is foul. Is it a sizing issue with the frame, or just adjustability that matters? |

Straight outta moscow, it was a fully stock "Sport" track bike, originally built for the Russian track team, mad limited quantities for specific people. Mine has someone's name on it. I left the stock wheels which had mint glueon tires in moscow because gluing on tires is crazy. Those are whack wheels I took off my Schwinn world. I need a new cog because the chain is the smaller type (what size?) Everything else except the seat is stock... I bought it at the Krilatskoye velodrome from this 70 year old guy who is a coach there. They told me to get a rear break so I dont flip over my handlebars. The drilling of the frame was done by the Russian team's very own mechanic, so I didn't argue. And I got an og Compagnolo lever and he's supposed to get me the Compagnolo break cord clip things from way back then that clip it to the frame so I dont have to tape it on. |
unless you don't know how to ride a bike you're not going to flip over the bars.
you left the wheels in moscow
? go back now |
What am I going to do with tubular rims?
ride them and enjoy
Regluing and finding them is too much of a hassle.
could have at least cut the hubs out...
is that the first we have seen built up... (the cinelli vigorelli)

50 cm bare knuckle - my new bike, I like it a lot! I might have it repainted at some point too. |
It seems like the U-lock on that BK might make for a slightly uncomfortable ride.

I realized that as far as lugged track frames go, nothing will ever touch the Samson. I never rode this and probably never will, but I figured Francophiles and bike geeks alike will enjoy the porn. |
