TheDean - I got it painted by Duane at Chestercycles. A standard one-colour job starts at $85, with additional colours for $25 and up. Masking is $40-60. The paintjob (two colour w/ masking on the seat stay caps) cost me $150, which I think is a steal for a good quality, environmentally-friendly job by a guy who actually knows how to paint a bike. I imagine his prices will go up as he there's more demand for his work and the quality continues to improve.

My first road bike in high school (purchased in '80 or '81, can't quite remember), just recently converted.

The first attempt was one I made for my ladypal last year - it's still alive and well.
Chestercycles is in Libertyville, IL.

That's really 25.5? It looks a lot bigger than my 25.5 tourer. A LOT bigger.

What lugs did you use, Long Shen?

My girlfriend's conversion is painted almost the exact same color. Looks good!

Thanks - and yeah, those are Long Shen long point lugs. The BB shell is Kalavinka, as are the track ends and fork tips.

Actually Greenberg would have defined that as very much avant-garde. It's even a mural painting, which he championed.

Whether or not that holds up to today's ideals about art is a different argument...

Is that a Track SE, or just a small track?
Like the set-up, think the picture would benefit from a slightly higher angle (seeing the underside of the brooks=not the most aesthetically pleasing), looks nice though!

..yeah..it's not the best photo...just a quick photo snapped halfway through tonights ride. I hope to get some better photos once I clean her up (notice the mud on the bottom of the seattube)

Have people seen Pastor Bob's find over at C&V? I hope he restores it. The foot pegs on the fork are great.

I just got this bike about 2 weeks ago, and i am loving it. I added the SOMA bars to start with, but next is a new saddle and pedals.
