Since we're on a huge bike roll, I'll repost this photo of my Bob Jackson. I'm 6'4" and have pretty long legs.

They seemed kind of difficult to get off, and I was afraid of breaking something permanently, in case I want to give it gears again someday, they are nice campy shifters, so I just left them on there for now. Kindof gotten used to it now, I should rig them up to release caltrops or oilspills or something.

Speaking of DT shifters... (i am aware that every single pic is blurred)

I still need to level the ends off, my hacksaw snapped (more like exploded) so i used a dremel the rest of the way. So far i like these more than drops, even though they look like *****.

Platforms and no brakes?

Eric Hanus 05-22-07 01:05 PM

i think flop and chops look cool. i actually like the way your turned out... i would just angle them down a little more.

Clipless, there just double sided. I usually run a front brake, but i just don't feel like messing with cables for now.

Here's my first build. Yes, I was going for cheapness. I was on a bit of a budget. Built it up with left side drive just for fun and gave it a cool diamond pattern on the tubes.

Watch out for your pedals unscrewing themselves.

bboysubhuman 05-22-07 08:37 PM

yeah, I glued them in.

This is my (sometime pre-1980) Schwinn Le Tour. It came fully road outfitted, but I already have a road bike, so I thought I'd fix it. It's still in the works. Formula flip-flop on a 27x1.25 Sun rim is chillin' in my room, beside the Sakae Randnner 'Road Champion' bars that came on it.

Pix in the shower, what!

Beautiful bike, those kalivinka ends are my favorite to look at. Can't wait to see it in action.
