It's yet unfinished, but i'm excited. My upcoming Jonnycycles. I had him put ( soon to be polished)stainless steel inserts thru the top tube for style. Hope it doesn't whistle too loudly when riding :)

Really, that's a super-sweet idea.

Ooooooooh sh*t I'm in love. Ęgis bikes are gorgeous, and if you can get the auxilliary dropouts (I'm sure you can), it's going to be a hot hot hot bike.

If you don't put a Supertype seatpost on that bike I'm gonna harm you.

531phile 02-03-06 08:28 PM

Man, if I had a frame like that Aegis, I wouldn't know whether to ride it or take it to bed with me.

Do you feel a difference in the way the bike handles relative to bikes with typically positioned stays? (Anyhow, rad bike!)

i rode an avalanche before retiring it- my understanding is this: gt used the triple triangle idea to make their frames stiffer/stronger/different- the more the better- kinda reminescent of the truss idea

Aegis' folks are super, super nice. They truly make some insanely fine (and ludicrously stiff) bikes. Good score!
