that bike has this "fast as hell" look with the drop stem / track bars, clipless peds, and seat. i like. personally i'd do white deep v's, but that's just because i love white deep v's... what seat is tat anyway?

scotthorrigan 06-12-07 12:30 AM

2007 selle italia slr gel flow. and the bike is pretty "fast as hell"...i'm so pumped! i can't wait to take it up to the track next week!

andre nickatina 06-12-07 01:05 AM

sweet, have fun with that. i have a pretty similar setup, love it for the sprints.

blu3d0g 06-12-07 05:50 AM

took you long enough scott. everyone should ask him how many tries it took to get the spoke length right

or white sidi shoes and a bag with shiny bianchi pista seat material cover

mcatano 06-12-07 08:46 AM

Maybe a chrome backbrace from riding with that much saddle-bar drop?

DannyRocks 06-12-07 09:36 AM

And to think, you didn't want to take it out for polo...

piratelove 06-12-07 09:51 AM

Get those white Time ATACs for the Panasonic.

If we're gonna be jerks too, get a silver seatpost.

Ok, really though, who gives a ****? That bike is ****ing hot.

Nah...just rock a pair of really thick white laces! and forget the bag, some bling for your grill will do the trick.

Well, I'm not trying to be a jerk. It's obvious that the person who put that bike together spent a lot of money/time on making it look nice, so clearly he gives a ****. It's a pretty bike, but to me the whole thing is a little unbalanced and I'm just making some suggestions on how to pull it together. If you're going to put effort into the aesthetic aspect of a build and then posting it on the internet, you shouldn't be adverse to people talking about how it looks, right?

The white ATACs are a good suggestion - I haven't seen those. If you went with a silver seat post and a black top tube protector, that might work.

piwonka 06-12-07 12:12 PM

aesthetics of a bike build are overrated.
that panasonic is really nice, if it were mine it would have a silver seatpost.

jacobpriest 06-12-07 12:13 PM

well i was just joking. the fastback seat binder says "hey put quandos on here and i'm still hott"

i am sure you were thinking this as you built your jackson....

syke

scotthorrigan 06-12-07 12:15 PM

The black seatpost is temporary. NO bike shop around here had a silver 26.8 post, so i had to settle for black until the silver thompson I ordered comes in.

TedC 06-12-07 12:20 PM

If your in Boston, where(velodrome) do you ride that? do you go up to Londonderry?

sirpoopalot 06-12-07 12:22 PM

Oh, I know. I wouldn't exactly say I'm being serious here either... you did see that diagram, right?

jacobpriest 06-12-07 01:11 PM

yes. although i didnt quite understand why the one went into the air in the back. you coulda stopped it on the binder bolt or something.
i vote every bike company to start making every track bike 27.2 seatpost, 22.2 headset (unless threadless, then inch and 1/8), english threaded everything. 68mm bottom brackets, iso taper bb spindles, 120 space back, 100 space front and most importantly 55cm square on all bikes.
