how you like those bars? (midges?)
did you not like how 'regular' road levers worked with them?

looks like a fine fine ride.

Midge bars are my favorite setup so far, so much so that I've been running them on my Karate Monkey for several months and got a second one so I could kit out the IRO as well. On the KM I'm running more regular-reach levers (Dia Compe 287V's pulling Avid BB7s) with a a set of in-line cross levers on the flats and when I'm down in the drops I can barely reach them. The Cane Creek SCR-5C have less reach but put themselves perfectly within my reach both from the hoods and the drops. If they worked with disc brakes I'd put a set on my KM also. I don't think regular levers are a problem, I just prefer the way the shorter reach ones work for where I run them on the bars.

Is this a typo, or do you use it for better chainline with the double cogs?

My bad, that was a typo. It's a 44T Salsa on the outside with a 40T Sugino on the inside. Works perfectly with the 17T/21T dingle cog in going down 4 teeth in the front and up 4 in the rear when switching to my low gear, so the chain length doesn't change noticeably.

This is mostly a Windsor Hour. I don't like this stem and don't normally use it b/c I usually run a 50 cent MTB threadless on a quill adapter with riser bars I took off a crashed up schwinn mesa. I spray painted them 24K gold. They are bling now. I'd take pictures of that setup but theres a thunderstorm blowing in outside, and my camera is full and out of batteries.

Fixed, 48/13 with 406 wheels and Big Apples, which works out to around 70 gear inches. I'm almost glad my Dahon got stolen; it gave me the opportunity to put this one together.
