+1. The Shamals (thats what they are, right?) look very good with your frame.
|

jacob the priest gets 10 points on the rims :) Atlantas were the high end rims available from campa in the same period as the original shamals, ventos etc I beleive. The difference was they didnt come as a complete "system wheelset" like the shamals etc. They are scarred and battered tbh as they used to be on a regular roadie. Good thing is they are solid as hell (yes and heavy) - bust a spoke on these 32 hole and they just stay true for a long while. So great for city riding! Got some factory new 28hole atlantas sitting here waiting for a coming project :D
rear hub is bog standard miche, front is an old road dura ace hub. I'm also a wimp, so 49:20 and front brake is the deal. Still debating on tearing them apart, polishing completely to mirror shine and rebuilding with high flange campa record pista or something |

BikeSnobNYC is going to have fun with that bike. I like it though.

Those rocks are awesome. I want some that size or larger in my yard! |
I can't say that I am a fan of the electrical tape over all Pista decals look, though it seems oddly popular.
|
i'd say i'm less a fan of the white decals. the ones that said "Bianchi" over the chrome were ok, but i really disliked the white on chrome look
p.s. i'm really starting to dig that deep v blue, i've seen a few lately and it's quite sharp |
the black spot pista
|
If you want to rid your Pista of decals, strip that **** off, don't cover it up with ugly-ass electric tape.
Personally, I think the Pista's decals are classy. |
My Bianchi M.U.S.S. I posted another thread with a review here: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=323721
http://mika.hanulec.com/~dmorriso/muss.jpg Edit: And why would you cover up classic frame art like this with black tape!?! |
i cover my bike with old tubes and it's for protecting the frame
