yeah, i had to see that other thread to get it. i thought it was a mesh bag like oranges come in. that would slide all over and ****....you know.

i love my velo carbon saddle, but it doesn't look half as cool as that.

it think that bike looks like it's missing a brake. or a front aerospoke. one or the other:)

Southernwayfare 09-15-07 01:29 PM

Maybe orange or white or orange/white harlequin wrap bar tape would be nice...

JellyMeetsJam 09-15-07 01:42 PM

Orange champs on the horns would be an A+

It was on LA craigslist about 2 months ago.

Wife said I could get it for her wedding present to me. What a gal.

I was thinking maybe white. Seems that orange might be too matchy-matchy. Or I might just leave as is.

made with extra parts and a singlespeed conversion kit... great to smash around town so i dont have to lock up my nicer bikes.. and i dont use the spinergy daily...

still working on some custom graphics for the frame and eventually a eno hub so i can go fixed...(but ehhh not in a rush)

I NOMINATE THIS FOR 07 WORST BIKE SO FAR

Trevorgasm 09-15-07 08:04 PM

lulz. i think it looks exciting.

tinydr 09-15-07 08:38 PM

I'm surprised the elements of that bike people have focused on to dis... to me the most ridiculous thing is the stem, but hey... whatever floats the owner's boat.

Astronomical 09-15-07 08:46 PM

It looks like a monstrosity.

cc700 09-15-07 10:55 PM

tscho- don't hate me for saying this, but i like it 'before' better.

humancongereel 09-15-07 11:15 PM

c'mon....that's a mad max bike. or at least it will be if it gets ridden through a rough winter and some rough terrain....i thought one criterium for a mad max bike was being cobbled together from a variety of parts.

Really? That's cool. The red and pink and stickers weren't doing it for me though. I have been tossing around the idea of respraying the frame gray. The OG rear wheel was jankey as hell. I built the new rear myself.

It's getting there. I'm still not 100% sure it will be ss though. Not sure about the bars either. I may go with traditional drops (Nitto 115) instead.

I tried riding those Gary bars on my Cross-Check for a while, but goddamn they are big. I'm a pretty small guy, and riding bars that are like 46cm wide the the drops was just too much, especially for any kind of city riding. I switched to Nitto Randonneur and don't regret it.
