I just got this Gunnar Street Dog fram off of eBay for a steal. Here's the build:
http://photos7.flickr.com/7917836_fddcae4732.jpg Frame: Gunnar Street Dog 60cm Fork: EPX Carbon Cranks: Old Dura Ace 170 Wheels: Open Pro/Pro Max Sealed 32 Gearing: 48/17 Seat/Post: Fizik Arione / Thompson Elite Tires: Rubinos |
what is that black thing going from the saddle to the seat stays?
Seat/post securilty. I peice of chain in an inner tube.
its a little piece of chain wrapped in inner tube to make it more difficult to steal the seat

http://www.christopherlahey.com/images/celeste800.jpg i got all excited when i saw the wheels of fire spokecard. we didnt meet, but i sure remember your yamaguchi from the rally. you guys hung out with my boyfriend lamar while i went to work. nice bike! |
the yama belongs to adamkell. my conept was 'delayed in shipping' at the time of the broken hearts/bicycle parts rally (Fn rad btw). let lamar know that we appreciated the tour de atlanta that he gave us, esp the peachtree road rage! hope to see you guys soon.

http://education.ragnaroksystems.com/greentrack.jpg The fork looks pretty slack. The color is sick but I'm a sucker for a bike w/ decals and/or logos. Maybe a repainted Pista... |
I don't think its a Pista. The drop outs and down tube aren't right for a Pista. The drops outs look at little like Surly drop outs. But I don't know.

Grunk -
Great looking bike. I hate to ask the ubiquitous 'what bars are those', but... What bars are those? They wouldn't happen to be the lustworthy 3TTT Moser, would they? |
They're Nitto B123AA (aluminum) bars, flipped and chopped.
Sacrilege! B123AAs flipped and chopped!?!?!
that was my initial reaction....then i looked again...it was worth it.
Grunk, seeing your bike makes me wonder, how long have you been a ninja?
My new bike just came in yesterday, and I absolutely love it!
I finally get some workout with it being a SS ;) http://oz.losing-ground.net/pics/specialized/1.JPG http://oz.losing-ground.net/pics/specialized/2.JPG http://oz.losing-ground.net/pics/specialized/3.JPG http://oz.losing-ground.net/pics/specialized/4.JPG |

Very nice. What happened to the brooks saddle?
i still have it, but this $9 san marco regal is more comfortable. Strange I know, but I am not going to argue with my a$$.
where did you get the saddle for 9 bucks...also..how tall are you 46x17?
A while back nashbar.com had them on sale. All gone now. Wish I bought a spare or two.
I am six feet. the frame measures 58 seatube c-c. 62 is center to top. Check here for details http://irocycle.com/fixedgearandsing...inc/id110.html. I am six feet. Fits perfect with a 110 stem and seatpost (Miche supertype) positioned in the middle of the saddle rails. |
