the reversed seatpost makes me thing otherwise.

Im like 6'2 and I ride a 59 without the "proper" amount of post and it fits me great, some people just have short leegs and a long torso

Where did you find a model G? and is there another one?

I called up Kogswell and he was nice enough to sell me
the last one that he had been saving. . .I am very pleased with it--
fun and very practical--

amen. you've seen my bikes a page or two ago...i'm 5'11" with a 29" inseam and take ~52cm (non-compact) on the road and ~17" in the dirt. if i could swing the coin for a custom, it would have a long TT. instead, i run long stems.

it's personal preference.
not everyone has the same length legs in propotion to their body height.
some people like more leg extension than others.
some people don't mind a little extra saddle to bar drop. i don't really like my bars the same height as my saddle.
also, your seat post is backwards in one of those velospace pics, and you don't really have that much seatpost extension. don walker said something along the lines of "if you only have a fist of seatpost extension, then your frame is too small for you." personal preference.

If you're talking to me, no photoshop there. I live "on" a golf course and used a friend to balance the bike between shots... :)

Here's another one (you can see the bike is starting to fall toward the camera already!):

P.S. Might I recommend going on a quest for the magic chain length? Even if it's just close, since you're riding SS it won't hurt anything and it would make the bike look quite prime.

thanks. yes. and oh i know...i was about to do just that, but 1. i loved the ratio as is and chain length and chainring/cog size play would been needed, and 2. i just sold it...:(

...the bikes fresh and im still feeling it out...pistas are only available in 57 or 59...my shop had one 07' 59 in stock at $500 even new...i took it.
im 6' with ~33" inseam...stand over is great, and im slowly raising the seat as i ride it...its up a whole 2" form the pics!!!
...take. a. breath.

nobumdeals...nice gang green bud

The only thing that could make that bike better would be a green chain. I bet you could paint one yourself.
;)

__Nicholas 10-15-07 08:30 AM

you should post a night picture of the glow in the dark paint, i want to see the paint in action!

why are you so opposed to a rear brake? do you want to look like one of the "cool kids" on a "fixie"?

and for the low saddle height, maybe it's how it fits you, but the best rule of thumb i've heard is to get the top of the saddle up by your hip bone. good leg extension, good foryour knees, etc....
