Why would anyone hate a Paramount MTB?

dookie 10-14-07 11:00 AM

i get a lot of grief about the abundance of purple. of course, that just makes me want more...

Maybe he means because it's geared? In any event, there's nothing wrong with any of those bikes.

ggallin 10-14-07 11:17 AM

i really want one of those alter stems.
as for fraame sizes, im 6'4 and my road bike is a 63. my iro is a 59. when put next to one another, they are pretty much identical frames, sans the bb height.

beatifik 10-14-07 11:20 AM

what's the story on the drive side chainstay on that purple bike?

I would ride that bike until it loved me.

thank you. jesus christ, thank you. i was beginning to think i was alone.

i have a "brake box" full of old, but functioning brakes. I want to go around philly attatching these brakes to SS bikes to try and get a point across....

wait, nevermind. no i dont.

done on purpose...a design feature that is supposed to prevent chainslap. in reality, the chainslap happens on the bottom of the stay instead of the top.

no worries. that said, it does feel different. i have avid sl levers and the leverage adjuster knobs are pretty much at opposite ends of their limits to make them feel even (at rest). and that said, i also rode with non-adjustable levers for quite awhile and really didn't notice it (in motion).
