get rid of that seat. jesus its the ugliest thing ever!
get some clips and straps/clipless pedals and shoes ...... or never go down a hill or plan on going to fast in control.
if not into having your feet locked to your pedals maybe this isn't for you.

get a brake if it's your first fixed ride.

Gluestick 12-27-07 08:08 PM

What about the chain, should I add a link? Where should the back wheel sit within the dropout?

Where it isn't in danger of popping out and killing you(is you haven't figured it out, you should add a link).

word of advice, do not run sun rims M14a rims in the rear they will come apart like a bad marriage.
Mine split at the weld and had several tension cracks upon further inspection.

so here is my bike several upgrades later. it is a 53cm frame sitting on 650c rims, 40x13 about 74 gear inches.

I have a new mavic open pro in the rear I havent decided if i like the drops or the bullhorns more yet. the drops really make that bike feel short.

Finally got around to taking pictures of bikes. My world sport that I picked up after my last frame got totaled. Note the hilarious Dodge Viper saddle.

Bonus points to anyone who can guess what it's leaning up against.

Two chainsaws and a cat.
Get the work on that cat.

curiousincident 12-27-07 09:57 PM

Maybe I'll have to get the gasoline involved too. The only question is do I use it before or after the chainsaws?

Zombie Carl 12-27-07 09:58 PM

Use the gas to draw a pentagram on the floor, light it up, then begin.

Yes, good.
The rest will come to as you enter the pentagram.
Let it happen.

And here I was expecting people to comment on the bike. That's cool, I like where this went. I'll be right back, got some rituals to perform.

chase. 12-27-07 10:12 PM

old blue bird bus? submarine?

br995 12-27-07 10:12 PM

It's leaning against Mickey's mums trailer (before they burned her in it?).

deathhare 12-27-07 10:12 PM

Bike looks nice.

NOOO not the lolcat!

curiousincident 12-27-07 10:16 PM

Some sort of mix between chases first guess and br995's could be a pretty accurate description.

edit: Thanks. Now that one is more or less done for the moment I need to figure out what to do with this thing that I'm halfway through with.

Mostly considering new drivetrain options.

My bike is a piece, but it gets me around.

I changed a lot of stuff on this bike after this photo was taken.

First of all, the handlebars are now bullhorns, put on a different saddle, the pedals ARE NOT those **** plastic ones anymore, added clips and straps, formula flip flop hub, went up to the larger chainring (52T I think) and put on a 16T surly track cog.
