Sweet ass jumping pick. It's now my desktop.[/QUOTE]

But how come I can see through his back tire?

BlastRadius 11-18-04 12:13 PM

Slow exposure due to darkness causes that ghosting effect.

SamHouston 11-18-04 12:25 PM

Well that event was nearby to you with the desktop. That's from the 2002 North American Cycle Courier Championships held In Houston, Tx.

As far as the last guy getting sterilized, they got it up to 11 people before the organizers pulled the plug. Only cause nobody would volunteer to leave the party and take the victims to the hospital I'm told.

hmmm..not sure if I ever posted these or not..not really much different..except new tires and painted wheel surfaces..did this back in like august or something...

marked001 - that's a sweet bike, and the design of the bag is cool too... kind of like a mini flak-jacket or something.

emayex 11-18-04 12:51 PM

how bout a shot of the whole bike

marked001....that bike is hot....how do the hibs on spinergy wheels work..do they use their own hubs?

marked001 11-18-04 12:51 PM

yeah.its really comfy..I dont really have any info on it..but I will let you guys know when it starts to be produced :)

absntr 11-18-04 01:03 PM

That bag looks interesting - looks small though - for small trips I assume? Will they make a bigger version?

bostontrevor 11-18-04 01:15 PM

That bag looks like pretty much the joint. It would be great for those days you want to go for a nice long ride and have just enough space to pack the tools, some water, a few bars or some stuff. Looks nice and stable so it doesn't move around.

What I'm not digging are the straps. Those are huge and I feel like you'd get damn hot.

marked001 11-18-04 01:27 PM

dont think they're gonna make a larger version... the straps are pretty big.. but they guys making it are textile designers as wel...so there are different fabrics employed to help with air flow...

The hub! Tell us about the hub!
Whats your setup in the rear?

schwinnbikelove 11-18-04 05:56 PM

Hey absentr, we've got a similar drivetrain, but my 46 tooth Sakae ring (on the same Sugino crank!!!) is black, not blue/grey. I've also got 18 in back. What chain do you use? (unless you already said that, but I don't feel like going back)

Nice bike! (Even the frame's my size... ;) )

Hey SBL - thanks! When I bought the ring, I thought it was black until I got it home and saw it in the daylight and it was this nice bluish-grey, which was a nice surprise since it matched the bike. For a while I was a little obsessed with getting all these blue parts (wheels, saddle, etc) then went for all black. All good either way.

Chain - 3/32 SRAM PC 48 since the drivetrain is 3/32. I had a PC-1 on there for a bit, but it was oh so noisy. Had to cut that out quick.

Next bike - a gentlemanly old school one. In the vein of this: http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/nakashima.htm

sorry sorry... missed that in the other post..... try not to hate me, but the rear is the ghetto loctite method...I originally was planning on using the surly fixxer.. but... I wasnt paying attention to the auction when I bought those wheels.. and they had a threaded hub...
