IMO the death/black/doom/sleep/math/vomit metal bands people are rattling off just aren't conducive for riding. If you want power and groove - and your face shredded, stick to the basics... the classics...

Black Sabbath
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Dio
Anthrax
Slayer
Metallica (And "Justice for All" and earlier especially "Kill Em All")
Testament
Sepultura
Pantera.
Suicidal Tendencies
Winger (kidding)

Mayhem, Ulver's "Nattens Madrigal", Stormlord, dot, Floor, Sleep, Bathory, Darkthrone, Elite, Impaled Nazarene, Taake, Wold, W.A.S.P, Windir's "Likferd" and "1184", you can get most of them here if you can't find them.

I agree with this. I like "death/black/doom/sleep/math/vomit metal bands", but you gotta stick to the more basic stuff for riding...something that actually has some consistent rhythm to it, and something that you can still comprehend despite the wind and other niose.

These are often in rotation...

Slayer' "At Dawn They Sleep",
Sabbath's "Neon Knights
Maiden "Die With Your Boots On"
The Haunted "All againsed All", "Shadow World, "DOA"
Throwdown "Push It Away"
SlipKnot "Wait and Bleed"

Was that a pun?
