Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

How rare is it?

wroomwroomoops YOu are correct I just needed to get the Cog reset. Nothing was stripped. It was just a tad loose probably from the factory. THe hub is not something the LBS' put together on stock rides. Unfortuneately it was never checked over when set up. Fortuneately I give this shop much of my buisness and they took care of it while I waited. So Woop Woop all good here in the hood!! No can we get some warmer weaterh out here?!?!

Well, that's good news, but remember, the cog must at all times be firmly in place, or else you'll screw the threads at best, and kill yourself at worst. So make sure the cog is rotafixed in place (please see the procedure here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotafix ) and the lockring is tightened down firmly.

As for the warmer weather, no can do, at least not from Finland - we just got an awful snowfall today - I cam home carrying a nice layer of that on myself and my bike.
