Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

My philosophy is: **** "the others" and their opinions. What matters is what you like and what your own opinion is. You can't live your life by the dictates of "the others", nor should you. Be yourself, always.

Bikes: '08 Giant Bowery profile designs T2 Wing bull horn style. '05Giant TCR Comp3 w/ Mavic Ksyrium SL, '05 Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc

Ben> yes I have tried the straps on my bike They were good, black plastic clips and nylon straps that came with the bike. I saw the half clips on sale and figured what the hell I'll give em a shot. I was hopeing to get some MKS or SOMA Hellyer pedals to go with them but at the last minute decided no to. (trying to save a lil coin) They are nice. Don't scrape the ground at all, sturdy shiney. So far no issues with my feet falling out. I don't skid or skip stop so no need for em there. I've got my legs to slow my cadence and brakes if I need em.

To the others> Hate the bike if you want. I'm not trying to conform to any type of hipster mumbo-jumbo (that's not a real word either) I get what I like. I do what I want. Next time perhaps I'll post my pics with all "the others"

And to the other stand up folks here. rock on.

word.
