would a bandana on the seat tube make you like it more? Seems that's the new hipster thing to do these days.

The very existence of this thread proves you wrong. Not that it should be so, but it is.

I think the crankset is the best part of the bike. The thing wouldn't be too bad on the whole, but the fork and those pedals make my eyes melt.

Worthy? I dunno about worthy, but existent, that yes. I don't think you mentioning "worthy" in your original comment, mkay?

EDIT you said "constitutes". That's gray area, but I here declare that you meant "exist".

(hmm now this has become a strange change in topic) ALl I have to say is hey I like my bike, the crank rocks, I dig the half clips and don't feel the need for strap ons, the bull horns are comfy, and the anodized red on the crank is not as red as I thought it would be, but it rocks none the less.

It's cool that you like your bike. Questionable taste aside, there isn't really anything wrong with it except for your pedals. That's seriously, like, a bad setup. You are going to hurt yourself. Wait, nevermind. You have brakes. Good job. The important thing is that you like it, and ride it. Ride the **** out of that *****.
