Actually, if the pedestrian is crossing on a designated crosswalk, then he does indeed have the right of way.

n00b. I understand the goddamn rules of the road. Clearly the pedestrian has the right of way.

But you know what... if you live in a city and you walk around thinking that that law is going to keep you from becoming one with the front end of a bus... you're a moron.

Its not the point that he had the right of way. Its the principle that some losebomb comes on here trashing fixed gear riders because his dumbass friend got hit by a cyclist.

Yes that area does have pedestrians walking blindly into oncoming traffic and people in cars blindly fighting for parking spots. Most of the time pedestrians have the right of way in crosswalks, but surprisingly there are exceptions to this.

Then this person is the ONLY BU kid who crosses with the lights. The BU lemmings see real Bostonians doing a no Jay walk and imitate it on COMM AVE!!! I'll let you in on a secret: WE PRETEND NOT TO LOOK!! ITS FAKE, WE LOOK AND SEE THAT ITS SAFE!!

Though, this instance of dummy smack was unjustified.

actually, taking away the grumpy tone, i think evilevo is on the right track. i mean, that's really how crap works. i've had to stop when i have a green light because an armored truck or some sports car or bus tries to fly through at 50mph long after the light's been red. i sure as hell wasn't going to keep going, get hit, and then complain about right of way.

Correct.

When I used to work commercial EMS. I've had to slam on the brakes in an AMBULANCE with LIGHTS and SIRENS on because some schmuck had to make a right turn in front of me, JUST so they could pull over right away and I could whip around them.

It makes perfect sense. Its obviously the cyclists fault.

Its also MORE his fault because he was riding a fixed gear.

And MORE his fault because he was brakeless.

And MORE his fault because he ran a red.

And MORE his fault because he violated some BS crosswalk rule.

Sarcasm is just one of the many services I offer.

Director's cut rawks. Discuss.
Directors cut FTW. The studio made Scott f%^k up his flick because they had no faith in it when it came out in 82.

blade runner was just playing at a local theater lately. I'm not sure if it was a part of a local promotion or a nation wide re-release. Although it was the "Final Cut," which featured alternate and exdended scenes, that was also just re-released on DVD. This led me to believe that it was a re-release. I saw it. It was pretty awesome to catch it on the "big screen."

Hey, I love Blade Runner, and it's playing in a local theater, and it's supposed to be some new and improved director's cut or something. Maybe I'll go tomorrow. How was it? How does it compare with the old un-improved un-director's cut version?

I have only seen a few parts of the original version, so it is hard for me to compare. I am just begining the book, which is coming along slowly. But in my opinion, it was really cool The environments were really awesome to see on such a large screen. I would recommend the re-release if you really love sci-fi(which I do).
