Wow. A set of these with only a two inch rise (it's a 3 on the bike) might be pretty dec. I have a bad back so risers are (sadly) a must for me. Am I gonna be the first to take the plunge? I'm puttin together my first bike, let's experiment.

incidentally, isn't the idea to solve existing problems by designing new products rather than creating them?
- more material = more weight
- only compatible with one type of stem
- makes eyes hurt
- increased production cost (both time and money) over standard weld-less risers
- etc
this is as half baked as that wooden bars idea...

but seriously though, wern't those little kid bars the ones that broke at the welds? not saying these are as weak as those but i'd be grinding my teeth with worry yanking on those things as hard as you might to slow down/move around in traffic on fixed. no offense to the guy making them.

I think they would look better on a different frame/fork. A straight fork with thick tubing might pull these off.
