Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? they're very nice frames, think they're just resprayed HED Aerolab ones though. I'd love one I have to admit. I saw two sweet cervelo's today at a TT like these:

Think the HED ones are $1200/£700 so I guess about the same for the planet-x

I sent an email about price to the US distributor. Here's the reply. Too bad I don't have the cash to toss around and it's a supernice frame I'd bust up from riding it recklessly.....

Thanks for your enquiry

We developed that frame here in the US, it was originally made for the
Florida Cycling Track Team.

The frames on the UK website are simply the new colors

Frame cost as follows:

Frame $490 (comes complete with integral headset)
Carbon Pro, Fork $182
Carbon Pro, Aero Seat post $94

If you are interested in the complete package, I may be able to offer you a deal.

$766 for the frame/fork/headset/seat post.. What wheels would you guys use? I think you would have to go with something like the Zipp 404 or whatever to keep the high-tech look going.. At that point I think I may feel a little ridiculous riding down to the corner store though.

i wouldn't really trust zipps for city riding on anything other than smooth roads. i heard one exploded into a million pieces at the uc davis road race two years ago and the road was citylike (or worse) conditions. keeping everything black and STEALTH like would rule. then i'd just attach a big phaser photon ray to the handlebars.

wow, i dont usually like mod frames, but that one has beautiful geometry!!! i like the stem bc its not a super long reach one, those are ugly. do you still get to ride it much? do you run the freewheel on the crank or the hub?
