Bikes: Check the sig to find out
the pulse was nothing short of an abuser. I had the pulse and really didn't think I felt any "special" feel with it (although it was very fast). how many can really tell the difference in tubing while riding really? All I remember was being tired all the time after getting off mine because of all the road shock. it was an abuser and I'm sure the gtb was just as abusive

i had a pulse, or a gtb...the nicer one. i bought it even though it was way too small, sold the frameset on ebay which paid for more than the whole bike. now i have a dura ace grouppo that i was kind of paid $50 to take lol.
i don't like this bike, but dont think the old gt frames will go down, they're actually going up. one frame just sold for close to $800 the other day on ebay, which is insane.

Bikes: officially too many now...
yeah, i suspect GTBs/pulses will begin to follow the trends of the cannondale frames: each time cannondale releases a new 'track bike,' the original early/mind 1990's frames increase in value (err selling price).
i agree the sloping TT isn't pretty, but the geometry doesn't look far off from the GTB; it just wasn't that steep. Somewhere there's a german site full of GT brochures, and one contains GTB geometry. After riding one for so long, i was a bit surprised at the angles (STA 73 HTA 74 i believe). BB is nice and high, though.

Yes the first one with bullhorns, alter stem, and gold v's is his bike.
I've seen it countless times and I've been in love from day one.

true, true....
but the other angles, i think, are very similar. I'm not saying it's the same frame by any means, but everyone cites the 75 deg. HTA on the old c'dale frames vs. the major taylor/capo. here, the handling should be close to the same.
and i am usually a fan of straight-blade forks, but the triple-triangle is aggresive-looking enough with more jarring, straight edges.

It is funny, isn't it? The bikes they *are* making probably suit most riders looking for that sort of bike (nomex on!). That is to say: road/relaxedesque geometry, mounts for brakes, bottle cage mounts, sub 1000$ price tag. Now, what everyone says they *want* is different: aggressive as heck angles, top-tier parts, low weight. The geometry is by and large a subjective thing, but you cant blame manufacturers for producing bikes they can sell in volumes instead of (truly) niche-market items.
I know i'll take heat for this, but I just don't see a huge market for a 1500$ GTB or c-dale track bike. People will *want* it, but purchasing is another thing.
Would it hurt/cost more to clean up the nasty compact-frame looking top tube on the gutterball or langster? Would tipping the head angle a degree steeper on a capo really make it 'dangerous' for average riders? I don't think so.
