What about a scenario where you only want a front brake? I'm used to riding road levers obviously, and yes that is definitely comfortable. I'm just curious what would the best option be then?
It would look rather silly to have a brake lever attached to nothing
, catch my drift?

, catch my drift?Get a pair of tektro levers...you can find them for $20 and they are decent levers. Saw the right lever off, leaving just enough for your index finger to wrap around the front of the lever when you are holding onto the hood.. Thats what I did...works perfectly.

I've got tektros on my langster right now. Personally I don't really like the hoods on them, I feel like my hands could fly forward right off the handlebars when I'm charging. Good idea though

Road levers: The left lever is attached to the front brake. The right lever is sawed off (so it doesn't flop around, leaving only the hood and the very proximal end of the lever).

alright yea that makes more sense. i think i might go with some nitto drops and run a cross lever for the front brake and wrap all the drops
