Which reminds me,
the strangest thing to me about that photo is not the unwrapped bars or the pliers used to hold the bike up, but the tire labels actually opposite the valves.

Could be that the labels on the other side of the tire are lined up (some tires have 2 labels on one side and only 1 on the other).
I've also heard people talk about counterbalancing the weight of the valve stem with the tire label.
