I have a feeling that the dude just bought the rear wheel and now he's trying to blame the tire debaucle on the shop.
Dude just needs to go to an LBS that he can trust, rather than having a bunch of internet idiots try and help him from halfway across the universe.

Make sure the wheel he gives you is of equal value. And I'm guessing he's gonna give you a used wheel so don't get hustled.

Bikes: I have cut my stable down to one bike in hopes to make room for a roadie.
The weight difference alone should have been a clue to the difference in size. I advise you to follow out what I'm going to say next...Go to the first bike shop, raise hell, get the right wheelset, demand that they do it, compare the hubs rims and weight to be sure you are getting a wheelSET. Bring your bike along with you to check fitting while at the store, install the wheels in the parking lot if you have to. Then take it home and call the second shop and tell about the wheelset that you purchased and varify that you got a matching set.
If you let a shop get away with hasseling you and taking your money for ****ty products then you need to rectify it immediately and let them know of thier mistake. Its the same if you bought a lemon from a car dealer, or got ****ty merchandise from wal-mart. Please don't just be a tool and allow them to take advantage of you.

Because it would have been a 2 hour drive and I would be canceling what the good shop has already done by giving me a 700c wheel for my 27" wheel. When I get the bike back today I'll post pictures and tell you what kind of wheel they gave me (I can assure you the wheel I had originally was generic and not high quality, it cost 35$ for the front one)

Yeah I did call them right after the good shop called me. I asked to speak to the manager, told him how incompitant him and his shop is (this was their 2nd huge mistake they made with me) and that I wouldn't be coming back there any more. He told me 27" and 700c is the same size, and I told him there was an 8mm difference and the inside of the 700c wheel says "122x15" and the inside of the 27" wheel says "130x18" which CLEARLY means theres a size difference, and and he said there shouldn't be a problem, and neither of us mentioned replacing the wheel (he didn't offer to) I just told him about the good shop helping me through all of these problems. He didn't seem upset at all when the conversation was over because he thinks he and his shop didn't do anything wrong.

From: My response would have been something along the lines of: "Does your bike have computer controlled suspension? Then shut your piehole, this baby is from the future!"

nonononono, he was telling me that over the phone as I was telling him how stupid he is for giving me 2 different size tires, and he actually believes 27" and 700c is the same size and I know it isn't, so don't think he's telling me somt bull**** and I actually believe it.

I am done with this. Throw your money away if you want, but I tend to like to hold business owners accountable when the **** me over or **** with my money. I mean if you want to let them get away with taking your money that's one thing but I personally would have driven the two hours and gotten what I paid for or at least the money I spent and then told them that I wouldn't be returning to do business with them again and that I would recommend against anyone else doing so.

I considered it, and I wanted to, but if the wheel I'm getting is better than the wheel I had to begin with (the 27" from the bad shop) then I'm coming out better. And how am I throwing money away? If he exchanges products, the 27" for a 700c, then its the same monetary value. I'm not losing or gaining any money here. But if I get a new wheel from the good shop, then I have a chance of getting a better wheel, which is gaining.
Come on you got to stay positive with me

I understood you didn't believe him. The facepalm is to the manager of the bike shop who says that.
If you get a better wheel than what yours is worth then you're ****ing over the "good shop." And regardless of what you end up with, after all is said and done the "bad shop" got your money for giving you the wrong product. And unless you do something about it they're going to get away with it. It's not even about the money, it's the principle. They need to own up to their mistake and fix it.
