Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

CC---yeah I like those Dolans a lot too. Probikekit.com is selling the black one for 650 (shipped). Honestly, I think it might be one of the best deals on a complete fixed gear bike. Light, aluminum frame w/ CF fork, decent wheels and crank, nice bars/stem...yeah. I like it, and I think it's a great deal. Sure doees look a lot better than Leader. I think I like it more than FTP, aesthetically.

yes i enjoy twisted spokes, my front rim has been wonderful, once trued up seems to be harder to knock out of true than a regular 3x (but this is all guessing)

"sure does LOOK a lot better than Leader"

Do I need to ride a leader to say I don't like the way it looks? i was talking about aesthetics only when I talked about the Leader and FTP

What kinda rims are those. I need to get a matching wheelset for my pista...right now I have some mismatched Mavic rims that just aren't doing the bike justice.

I've been really tempted to strip it several times but I always chicken out. I'm not one to hang on to stuff for too long, so most likely I'll be selling this next year and it seems like stripping it would lower the resale value. Plus they don't bug me.

I think I'll keep my fork too. Good luck with that though

Ah, I just didn't see the velocity logo on there anywhere...How does the non-machined surface workout with the break? Doesn't it rub the paint off?

This is true. Not sure what colors you can get that are anodized, but I'm pretty sure black, white and red.
