Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Just picked up my new rear wheel from the LBS: American Classic 32H fixed hub laced to H+Son Archetype rim. DT Swiss spokes, aluminum nipples.

Looks awesome, but the build came out heavier than I would have liked at 970g. 90g heavier than the original AC Hurricane rim which was lost in a crash

Time for fenders so later today I'm picking up a set of these. Winters in Vancouver are primarily rain soaked. I'm not able to get the long version because my bike isn't drilled for brakes. (The long version has a mount to attach to brake bridges for added stability but the short just goes with the tool-less attach point.)

20 apiece on the Clymb a few days back. Going on the monocog, though I have no idea what hubs I'm gonna run.

A shiny new headset for my neglected '03 Pista, which I've decided to not sell. Had some good times on that bike.

That's one of them 2 legged stands that folds up on one side of the bike isn't it? Cool stuff ... if you like bike stands. (gotta qualify it or people might think I'm a bit strange )

Seriously, I've got a mate who has one of them on his bike and you can't help being impressed.

Grabbed six of these for me and the roommates bikes, we normally just keep a pile behind the couch but things are getting out of hand.

Yah, it is good for my bike with fenders since I can't always hang the bike and fenders go out of whack all the time from small bumps.

Had to get the longer ones, cause I pulled a noob and ordered 36mm valves for 30mm rims.
