If a frame was 50 dollars.
With Grips it's 60..
How much would I be looking to pay to make the bike rideable.
So basically how much would I be looking to spend (basically as cheap as possible), to get wheels, tires, spokes?, and everything else (don't even know the names).
It's this frame,
, and I'm thinking I want yellow wheels, with a white saddle and white tires as well if they're not expensive.
Please get back to me! Thanks Alot

sooo like 150 or so plus the 50 for the frame... so I'm looking at about 200 bucks for a fixie.
I asked the guy on craigslist if the frame would fit me, and he said that he was 6'0-6'1 and the 60cm frame fit him... well I'm 6'2 and hoping it will work.

if you havent already bought that bike, you should just buy a road bike for 75-125 and get a new rear wheel. if you already own that bike you should buy a road bike for 75-125 and buy a new rear wheel.

yes yes yes. i'm surprised it took someone this long to say.
also, the blue frame is not a 52 or 56, i don't know where the **** that idea came from, it's at least a 58 if not a 60, and that red frame looks HUGE... 62cm or so. it's definitely the nicer of the two frames though.

dpc1192,
If you "don't even know the names" of the parts you need then you cannot do this project. Project bikes from scratch are never cheap unless you already have a spare parts bin and the know-how to put it all together. Clearly, you do not. Your lbs will help you with getting a safe machine and you can work with them on the really important stuff like the color of your tires and saddle.

loi is talking some BS.
no offense, but you should stop because this dude's takign you seriously.
1st off, the blue bike does not look like a 52-56, i dont even know how loi could even say that from a picture. lol
2nd, you can use a 1/8" chain and cog witht he 3/32 road cranks.
he really doesnt know what he's talking about, so ignore him.

I just found this on Craigslist. I'm sure if you look for a while you can find the same. This guy actually sells at a local flea market, complete bikes in good condition for $100. I paid $20 and if I added tubes, a tire, a chain and cleaned the drivetrain I could ride it.
