My Kilo Stripper arrived!

Here ya go
It's a 55cm. I previously rode a Motobecane Messenger (58cm) and it's about the same size with just slightly tighter geometry. It's a great fit for me and it's a blast to ride. The gold chain isn't nearly as blingy as I thought it would be, which is a good thing. The pedals are every bit as gold as BD's site pics, but easy enough to replace if it's too much for you, though your feet cover them when it matters most anyway. Only thing I plan on changing in the near future is the tires, naturally.

I got mine today and assembled it sans brakes, fitting it to myself and dialing in all the components before riding. I swapped out wheels, chain (to a 1/8" to accommodate the cog on my other wheelset), pedals/toe clips/straps. I will be replacing the seat, as it is terribly uncomfortable for my ass. Overall a decent ride, smooth, but terrible overlap (worse than my '08 fuji track pro). Will be using this as my rainy day / tarcking bike. Happy deliveries to everyone who ordered.

53CM for a 31" inseam?
I've got a 31" inseam
All of my bikes (from the early 70s on up) have been 55 or 56 CM sized.
You sure the 53 isn't going to be a tad small?

Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been looking at this model thru BikesDirect. (and looking and looking)
Is that a truvativ crankset on yours??
(reason I ask is there's been some issue with truvativ)
I definitely love the basic black (goes with everything LOL)although I keep flipping over to the stoplight red (candy apple red for those old enough to remember the custom car color)
I bought up several of the E3Gel seats when Performance dumped em for $19.95
I run em on the Paramount, the CF Motobecane IF and the Cruiser. Definitely one of the ost comfortable seats I've had (that I didn't have to spend a year breaking in ala Brooks)
I was going to convert a late 70s motobecane but by the time I'd have gotten thru retrofitting, this stripper made more sen$e
Great Bike!

Huh, I did . On a friends Kilo TT in 53cm. Hes a 1mm more clearance than is do. Not a s much as Scrodzilla's though.
So there are variations there.
So what about the forks? All forks are the same regardless of frame size.
I thought so..."Your educated" response was useless.

Ranger63, I got a 53cm and what with the disparity of C-C and C-T, my inseam is barely 30" and definitely balls rest on the center tube but, I ain't standing over the damn thing anyway. the bike definitely feels a little big for its size (I'm 5'10"); I had to throw the seat way forward on the seatpost. feels good to be on a bigger bike tho (less paranoia about toeverlap, taking corners, not feeling cramped). spent a lot of time doing the pre-measuring crap but in the end, especially if you have a lot of bikes at home or even a track bike, just compare those geometry charts and you'll know what you prefer to be longer, taller, shorter, etc.

ok, not the best shots but . . . . there ya go. closeup shots of paint are not as good as CharlesPDX but I took my bike to the shop today (turns out I didn't actually need to do anything but get some chain grease and got some serious compliments on the paint job. of course they blanched a little when I said it was from BD
