I had a set of CST 28s that fit fine. Currently have a Vittoria Randonneur in the back and it fits with no trouble. I have a considerable amount of room to spare too! A buddy of mine did have a problem with an Armadillo though...

what a CST? Vittoria's run small. Not true 28's.

Both my Schwalbe measure 27.92 (Stelvio)and 28.1 (Durano)

That's the issue and what I said. Not ALL 28's will fit. But good to know the Vitt Ran fits.

The white frame looks really good with the silver components. The gold chain really sets it off and makes it look classy. Too much gold would be that, but I think it looked nice. the black stem looks a bit outta place now with the silver bars, silver spacers and silver top cap (and everything else silver too).

But if you like it then who am I to piss on your parade!

I don't know, DB...here's a pic of when I had my old CST Super HP
(which, despite the tread, seems like it has more girth than the Rando):

The chainstay clearance is about the same. I've got so much room, I could easily run a 32!

Thanks for the reply, sounds like most people like it but I would have liked a black and white theme more which is what I will be going for. Another thing that would have been nice is if somewhere in the packaging you let me know that I had 1/8th components. On the site it says it could be either and I assumed it was 3/32, bought a 17t fixed cog and took it to a bike shop to get it installed but it wasn't compatible with my 1/8th chain. I'm not super knowledgeable about bikes, maybe some people can tell the difference by looking but I couldn't.

I think the silver and white looks good too but I'm planning on moving towards a black and white theme, probably getting a black crankset from eight inch and a black chain also. I think some black risers would look a lot better also, may have to get a black seatpost at that point too.

Also, when I took my bike out for a ride last night I got a flat immediately. Took it to the bike shop (same time when I was going to get the new cog put on) and bought some new tires as the stock ones are a little flimsy.

A 3/32 cog is most certainly compatible with a 1/8 chain (but not the other way around). Are you sure you don't have your math ass-backward?

Those stock tires did seem a bit flimsy and I replaced them after getting a flat two days in. My wife needed a set of tires in a pinch for her road bike, she threw those on and hasn't had one problem. Go figure......

i went to my LBS to buy a Euro Asia 17T cog today to replace my strippers 16T. People on here told me that the gold chain on the TT's were 1/8 so i asked the LBS guy for a 1/8" cog. After the install the chain would seem to fall out of the cog under cranking, so we then tried the 3/32" cog and it fit perfect. SO THEREFORE STRIPPERS USE 3/32" COG NOT 1/8" Hope this helps.

Holy CRAP! Maybe my Kilo is defective.

My Tomasso had rear brake issues as well and it's why I ditched it.

My Kilo with a 25c Schwable tire. You can se if you look closely, I have 2mm of room and that's it!

I've got a 53. Maybe my frame is defective?

The clearance is just about the same in the front as well. I could probably get a 32 in there if I wanted to without any trouble.

Wow, a 28c tire fit with it all the way back in the dropouts with a hair to spare. But i mean at the end!

In front, I could not get the wheel in the dropout with a 28c. The fork as 2mm of room. Still can't fit a SKS race blade though.

Wow, my frame is most likely screwed up. I guess it's just more cheap quality with BD bikes.

Yeah, I feel that my Kilo is made quite well...the finish and welds are pretty much flawless...but it's funny how much some of the BD bikes vary. I've seen some Kilos with a really weird fork rake too.

A kid I work with has a Windsor Hour and he can barely squeeze a 25 into his rear. That sounded awesome.

HAHAHA

OK ... to be honest, i was skeptical about the gold bits.

HOWEVER, when i recieved my blue bike and installed them ... i couldn't remember what i was skeptical about. they do not look bad at all and now that i've ogled mybike for a bout a week now, i'm actually quite fond of them.

the chain is not bright at all, in fact i'd call it brass before gold. and the pedals are covered up by your shoes.

as a former skeptic, i'd like to offer my thumbs up for the idea. with the blue, at least i think it is not a deal breaker at all, and actually quirky and different.

The same thing was happening to me, it wasn't pulling the cog.

I doubt that. A small frame will have a different clearance than a big one.

Find someone else with a 50cm and make an educated comparison before you start claiming faulty product IMO.

On a kilo/stripper chain stay length is static while seat tube length varies through the sizes. Thus seat stays will have different lengths, different lengths will mean different angles from seat to track end... thus you will most likely get different clearances between sizes.
