My problem is that I'm looking at a sugino RD or soma Hellyer crankset, both of which are JIS and recommend a 110mm bb. My frame is Italian threaded...
So I need a 70x110mm JIS bb and I can't find one anywhere! Am I going to need to buy 2 BB's and frankenstein them?

did you try the LBS? i don't remember what spindle length i needed for my road bike(LBS helped me figure that out) but they were able to order me an italian threaded bb that worked.
