Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

We got goatheads out here, and they don't street sweep here but like twice a year, and I don't like thorn-proof tubes. I like to think that I ride a lot, about 500 miles a month, but I'm going to shoot for 600 a month this year. I'm at 270 now for January. And 50 is just the first number I came up with. It's not an intentional exaggeration, but it sounded right at the time; though it does sound high now. Let's say it's more like, oh, 47.
