here comes my 2c: i think for torsional strenfs you should flip that stem and cut that tube down a bit. besides, function>form always[you know that but i have to say it, this is ssfg] and with a spacer stack that big you really aren't benefiting from the flat stem in the aesthetics department.
curious how much it weighs with the zipps.

^ I like that frame. Sloping top tubes are gross.

^You said a sloping top tube would be better than the spacer stack. I say the spacer stack is better than a sloping top tube. Get it now?

i too like the frame with the straight top tube. i will likely decrease the stack height flip the stem and cut the steerer tube, but that will be after i find a fork for the saeco, which is where i got this fork.
and if zipps and stack height make a bike fred then i will gladly be fred. jesus lupin, nitpick much?

a fred would probably have the sense to flip the stem.
youve got 50 plus mm of spacer. flipping a 17 degree stem would be a 60mm drop. a zero degree stem with 20mm of spacers wouldnt be aesthetically offensive with the same position.
full disclosure: ive got something like 20mm of spacers and a -20 degree stem right now.

CC700, if you are looking for a fork PM me. I have a Cannondale Premium slice (full carbon) that I need to get rid of.

I'm in a contest with CC for most pictures posted in the last few pages of this thread.
I think we're done with the changes for now. Feels good man.

I'm still deciding on stem setup hence the untrimmed cables and inner tube bar tape.
I think lighter/better wheels are in this beast's near future.

I really like that Allez. I was thinking of getting one and putting a SRAM group on it. Now I know what that would have looked like. Thanks.
