Funny you should say that, I bought the SE Draft and was using it for a year. Broke 3 spokes and one blowout decided to rebuild the wheel. Bought one of these to swipe the rear wheel off of while I rebuild the drafts. Then I'm going to rebuild the cachets wheels just for xp.

Edit: A few details.
As I haven't assembled the entire bike, I just needed the rear wheel but will eventually get it together. The rear hub is a Quando with 48 spoke count. Sealed bearings and a fairly beefy v-rim amount to a decent wheel. The spokes are loose in the hub holes so I expect broken spokes after some time but not sure if it will really be that bad. I did contact the warranty department in an unrelated issue and happened to ask about the price of a replacement wheel. They sell the rear wheel for $78+shipping. This does not include the axle or the freewheel. The wheel did not require much in the way of truing when I got it and fitted the draft with an extra washer or two. Fitting and inflating was a bit tricky as the tire did not seat easily in the rim but with some attention it was eventually accomplished. As to the rest of the bike, the welds looked good and other than some metal shavings in the headset nothing to really complain about.

im glad yall posted this. i have trek roadie that is to fast for my leisurely bike friends to keep up with so i have been wanting a single speed for less serious rides. just trips downtown or to the nearby bars and coffee shops that dont require my clipless shoes, i could just hop on this and ride. i have been looking the kilo everyone in this section raves about and compared to my trek its pretty affordable but really i would prefer it to have different handlebars and use wider, hybrid type tires. since this is so cheap, it might just suit me fine. it only wieghs a half pound more than my roadie. thanks guys.

I got one, changed out the handlebars, put a 15t cog on then an 18t

New tubes, and a teflon seal, got the wheels trued and new cages, and sticker removal

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I've riden 3500 miles problem free, and a few times in the pouring rain

Nashbar has a good selection of cheap ($20-40) road bars.

Darn you all. I actually want to try out one of these clunkers now. If I ever see one on CL in the $20-$40 range I might have to pick it up.

Well I just got this less than a week ago. The front fork is all misaligned therefore my front brake is not straight with the rim making it useless. I bent it into place and got it real close but the brakes still suck. Wheels were totally out of true on mine. Saddle keeps coming loose and it is so uncomfortable. The handle bar grips gotta go.
First few rides were great. I have put about 20 miles on the bike so far. Today, I rode to the mailbox and it seems that one of the spokes punctured my rear tube. Then I got to thinking, man this could be a real unsafe bike to ride down hills with.
Final thoughts: **** bike. Cheap, yes but I wish hadn't wasted the money now.

These are the sorts of things you might want to check in the store before you walk out the door... Or did you order it online? I don't think I could bring myself to order a Walmart bike online. Who knows what horrors might be waiting. Like a bent fork and wheels.

Reality check. You can't expect much at that price point, regardless of what brand you buy or where you buy it. When I bought a Vilano frameset online for $29 my expectations were very low and indeed there were problems. Heck, even more expensive bikes can have problems, as I found out with the two bikesdirect bikes that I bought. The fact is that if you want to get a bike that is 100% problem free, then you need to buy it from a reputable lbs and pay over $500. I really have absolutely no sympathy for people who buy cheap crap from Walmart, and then complain when it turns out to be cheap crap.
