Still not sure. I like some of the suggestions for market items like the Wald and the CETMA, but I'm more tempted to build my own contraption.
I'm participating in a welding class at Bike! Bike! Northeast this weekend, and I might discuss this with a few others there.

just saw this today...sort of unrelated because it is smaller than a pizza box (just get 3 small pizzas? lol)
but it seems like you could use any ol' rack and 2 bungee cords and secure a pizza long enough for a neighborhood ride....
or in a more DIY fashion....
what if you just made some sort of flat board, pizza box sized (perhaps with ridges to keep the box in), that attaches to the flat of any sort of front or back rack?
also, i found this:

CETMA Style Bolt Together Front Bike Rack
https://www.instructables.com/id/CETM...ont-Bike-Rack/
didn't really peruse it much, but seems like a bike rack you can make yourself that dosn't require welding. bet you could fudge dimensions to make it more pizza box friendly....

The more we over-think this pizza rack, the better. I want the best damn cheap rack for carrying a pizza, and you can't stop me!
Btw, should design some suspension for the rack, because no one wants an over-jostled pizza.

I don't understand what you meant by that in relation to the picture you posted.
Can you please explain?

Hey antiaverage
The last time I was on Newbury St. I walked by the Upper Crust which is an expensive pizza joint. They had a bike in the window and if I remember correctly they had a pizza rack on it. You should check it out next time you are in that part of the city.

Extra cash, no matter how little the amount may end up being is always good than none at all. And on top of that I get to ride all over the place and whip my ass back into shape. Why not?
The "why not?" is not rhetorical. Seriously, if someone thinks it's a horrible idea, shout it out.

Wow, CETMA Racks is now CETMA Cargo, but their 5-rail rack can definitely hold a pizza box. Make that 16:

Still, I was hoping to hear some DIY stories. $120 is a bit much just to tote a pizza.

Haven't done it, but I've considered it lately.

Cool. I know the feeling. I'm also looking for a more active/outdoorsy job to support myself over the summer while I also do some freelancing. Tired of sitting inside in front of a computer screen almost 24/7 (pretty sure it's one of the things that has had a hand in me growing so out of shape). Want to break it up a little bit.
I'm definitely interested in hearing/reading accounts on delivery and other related jobs from people here.
