Trek T1

Hey guys, just a quick question. What is a good price for a used but in great condition Trek T1 Frameset? There is one local here that i have a chance to buy and don't know what a good price would be. Its a 60cm in Perfect Shape. Thanks for your help!

Wow! That is an incredible deal. I see new framesets going for like 450, used completes (not upgraded) for 800-1000.

I'd get one in a heartbeat at that price.

I got my frameset used, but good condition, with headset for about $300. Now the bike is worth 5-6 times that much.

Bikes: too many

some jackass in sacramento wants 500 for a frameset LOL.

on sffixed someone is selling a partial for $350. complete sans wheels and pedals. I've seen framesets usually around 250-300, they sell low for whatever reason.

Am I missing something, or is the MSRP on a new one $819?

you're right.

For some reason I thought it was a lot more expensive.

My local bike shop has red 2009 Trek T1's (complete bike, not just frameset) on sale for $599, down from $1,100 new. They had a 54, 56, and 58cm on hand.

they were. the older (red) ones were made in the usa and had nicer cranks. and some other slightly nicer things, and msrp was 1,100.

That's a damn good deal. The components aren't super nice by any means, mostly just entry-level Bontrager road components, but they're not bad by any means either. The wheelset in particular is just fine.

New framesets from AtlantaCycling are 440, new completes are 820. Used completes, of the older MSRP of 800-1100 are still going for 800-1000 on ebay.

The red older frames are the only ones I see. I have yet to see in person or for sale a new or used newer black frame/complete on ebay/CL.

I'm interested in finding a deal on one of these, I just haven't found one though.
