Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

No hate at all from my side. I don't hate anyone, ever.

I'll counteract the "hate" by saying that I love that Kalavinka. Do want.

Uh...that's a little off-topic here Nate. You're already on thin ice for not being Caucasian. Don't push it.

Well, let me add that the gear ratio on that Kalavinka looks a little heavy for pretty much anywhere outside of the tarck... including NYC.

I'd still ride the **** out of it... through gentrified AND ungentrified neighborhoods. As a non-caucasian, I gots the automatic street cred to do so.

How's that for on-topic?

And now we sing...

In New York,
Concrete jungle where dreams are made of, Theres nothing you can’t do,
Now you’re in New York,
These streets will make you feel brand new, The lights will inspire you,
Lets here it for New York, New York, New York

Yeah,
Yeah, Imma up at Brooklyn,
Now Im down in Tribeca,
Right next to DeNiro,
But i’ll be hood forever,
I’m the new Sinatra,
And since I made it here,
I can make it anywhere,
Yeah they love me everywhere,
I used to cop in Harlem,
All of my dominicanos
Right there up on broadway,
Brought me back to that McDonalds,
Took it to my stash spot,
Five Sixty Stage street,
Catch me in the kitchen like a simmons whipping pastry,
Cruising down 8th street,
Off white lexus,
Driving so slow but BK is from Texas,
Me I’m up at Bedsty,
Home of that boy Biggie,
Now I live on billboard,
And I brought my boys with me,
Say wat up to Ty Ty, still sipping Malta
Sitting courtside Knicks and Nets give me high fives,
N-gga I be spiked out, I can trip a referee,
Tell by my attitude that I most definitely from…

...Then We RIDE
Then everything will be Beautiful in the World
One Gear
One Love

Bikes: 1994 Bridgestone MB1 (bought new), 1983 Bruce Gordon road bike (Campy Super Record), 2010 Gary Fisher Rig (yeah!), Soma Rush (Wow...me love)

Yes, I received your letter yesterday
(About the time the doorknob broke)
When you asked how I was doing
Was that some kind of joke?
All these people that you mention
Yes, I know them, they’re quite lame
I had to rearrange their faces
And give them all another name
Right now I can’t read too good
Don’t send me no more letters, no
Not unless you mail them
From Desolation Row

Yes! Return of the Dole banana GIF! +50 billion*

* My obvious preference for banana-related things may or may not be a direct manifestation of my latent prejudices which assume that to be banana-y is better than not to be.
