Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Yeah, I'm actually in search of a medium-size messenger for my small frame that'll carry all my gear, and that I can switch off on long rides.

Those are nice. I was hopin to find something round and campy lookin' but those work. I'm actually debating selling the Sugino 75 crank arms. because BB + new chainring = another 100 and just buying a brand new set of omniums. Still going to do more research but I feel like it's not worth investing $200 when I can buy the omonomnoms for 170 shipping to my door, brand new....

I'd consider it if you'd be willing to ship. Or let my cousin who lives in Alameda pick it up and let me pay you via paypal. But even then...I hear much awesome about Omnomnoms. And much about Suginos but theres a $30 price difference, and one is brand new.

TT, whats your opinion? I know it doesn't matter given street riding. I'm just hoping for the smoothest drive train and the best bang for my buck.

I'd get this FSA chainring and a Miche bottom bracket.

Blackspire chainrings are also a good option.

that too is a good route, a miche in a 110 would be almost identical to the sg75's 109mm. any 144bcd chainring will work, i sold my original sugino 75 ring for 20$, you should be able to find simular on craigslist.

but if you want the zen ring and bb, id prefer cash. however just so you know they have been in a crash, and the arm is bent about 5mm but the ring and bb are fine.

Hmm...Thats even cheaper then Bens cycles Protype. Killemall, Any chance you could provide some pics? I may be interested. Cash would be difficult. I could paypal it as a gift so no take-backsies + no charges.

PricePoint is offering free shipping, which I think is a pretty good deal. Got a new headset yesterday and saved a solid amount that way.

I didn't check the price from the link, but there is a scrambler group buy going down in the group buy forum.

Why are they having a bid-to-win sale? They don't do this often right, what's the special occasion?

Between this and the group buy I'm guessing they need to raise some quick cash. after this has been posted here though I'm guessing that none of the framesets are going to go for less than $90-100.

I don't know what the occassion is but it's VERy good to try and cop some cheap quality stuff. Even at that, the groupbuy for the scambler v3 frame is going to be 125 or something. I'm happy to try and bid for anything under 100.

Calv,

Telling that to a forum would be counter productive to your getting a mega good deal.

Well I'm not a bitter guy.

I'm willing to try to get a good deal, but if another person on the forum wins or the price gets too expensive, or I can help another person on the forums find something they want at a cheap price, then I'm okay with it.
