Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Looks kinda goofy. I think I'd appreciate it more if it was actually ride-able. A bike that can't be ridden isn't much of a bike to me.

His selling it as a piece of art....

At any rate, I now understand why this project failed me; at the time I didn’t know a whole lot about tube mitering, which is crucial to the structural integrity of the frame. The front triangle of this bike is NOT SAFE by any means! This bike should ABSOLUTELY NOT BE RIDDEN, EVEN FOR A SECOND OR TWO!!!

Could be used as a prop on a Gilligan's Island re-make.

Bikes: '74 Schwinn Sports Tourer (Polo), S-Works E5 Team Festina (Chorus 11), Trek 2200 Bonded Carbon (Fixed), Trek 920 (7 speed IGH), Chesini Olimpiade SL (1x7)

It looks cool but, given the plethora of actually rideable bamboo bikes that look just as cool...
I dunno.

Whenever I see these bikes I think of termites...that would kinda be hilarious if a bamboo frameset broke because of termite rot. Haha.

What makes the cranks "custom"? This could be huge in determining value.

Cranks from some Schwinn MTBs and other department store ten speeds I've seen say "Custom" on them. No other branding. This would be my guess.
