guess its time to replace the light at that point. Anyway, I've decided to sell this, I'm not liking the track geometry. I am putting ultegra on my roadie and figure I can sell this for a cyclocross frame and put my shimano 105 set on there along with the aksium rims and drop bar from my roadie and have a bike that I like better. Not sure why the fixie bug bit me this winter and prompted me to build this one.
Also, I checked the FAQ and they claim the batteries can be replaced on those lights, but they don't say how just yet. I'd really want to try to put a brighter LED in there, though.

You could try building the cross frame as a fixed gear. If you get something steel, that, in combination with the slightly more relaxed geometry, should provide a much nicer ride than a harsh aluminium track bike. Either way, it's always better to have something you actually like riding, because you'll ride it more.

Again, did I unwittingly violate some etiquette here to deserve such rudeness? I've nothing against fixed gear, I just don't feel good on a track frame. No need to be obnoxious.

Have at it!! I know most people hate the aerospokes so I am sure that will be the number one thing. I also saw where a lot people had been having problems with the aventon forks breaking so I went to my lbs and grabbed a carbon fiber fork that was a pull off for $50 until I decide on what fork I want for sure.

That fork actually blends in nicely with the overall color scheme of the bike. I like the red cranks, red wheel, sort of big circle, little circle.
But since this is about what I don't like; well, I don't like the seat post. The white logo on it accentuates its smaller diameter compared to the bikes' massive seat tube. Maybe if it was flat black?

I have it narrowed down to a few specialized seats. The seat i had on my scott 29er was amazing but for the life of me I cant remember what was on it. Guess I will have to go to the shop and talk to them and see what they can do for me. Thanks

I would go with compact drops and have less rise on the stem, but it looks pretty good. You could have focused in on the bike a bit more in the photo.

I really don't get that style of bike. It looks clunky, unattractive and uncomfortable ... and that's before you start thinking about using the thing. Still, lots of people like them so I guess they must have some virtues - if everyone agreed with me, who'd I have to argue with?

I really haven't had too many comfort issues for rides up to 30ish miles.
The most uncomfortable thing, for me, is carrying a bag around when I commute to work. But if I'm just riding around, it's not uncomfortable.
I don't think I'll be doing a ton of centuries on the thing though.

Its use is in rapid acceleration and short bursts of speed. This can be useful if you are a commuter in a city trying to make stop-lights or if you are trying to win a track race but it is even more useful if you like the sensation of going fast.

I made some adjustments in the fit and I'm way more comfortable on the bike. I think what I disliked the most were those stupid diagonal foot straps, impossible to get into. I put on some clipless pedals and it's way better. Also, had some time yesterday to finally put on my headbadge that I had made (family crest more or less). I am starting to enjoy this bike more than I originally thought after the first ride.
