My intellect is that dizzying?

zoltani 01-12-11 12:35 AM

Take the main subject(s) out of any photo and what is it but a boring background?

It's nice stuff. Don't get me wrong. But, costs twice as much as comparable stuff that's waaay easier to find.

Hey, man. You are really testy about your bike.

Not testy. Just trying to debunk this myth about MASH hype and cachet was in no way a deciding factor with this bike for me or for the others I know that have bought this bike.

It's fashionable to jump all over the MASH and it gets tiresome. Every bike has a rider. It's pretty weak to just hate on a bike because.

By going with that I would expect to see no more bashing of leader's(though they are improving) or any other make or model, especially that puma bike(which I will admit deserves to be slammed).

Now, do you think that will happen. ;) People are entitled to their opinions.

Hey man, nobody mentioned you or your bike. As far as we know you could have got it for free.

Look, you've got to take the good with the bad when you have a bike like that. You got lots of "ooohs" and "aaaaahs" for most of this year. I even said your bike looks nice. This isn't about you personally.

I'd sooner take the Gritty over the funk anyday.

That's what happens when you let an Art Director or "Creative" design a bike. I'd bet that anyone who actually rides bikes never got close to that project.

EDIT:

I found this in the "Designer Notes" (only Art Directors or Creatives offer designer notes):

"FREE / FIXED GEAR SWITCH
Be part of an urban fixie culture or be reasonable: the rear hub gives you the choice.."

(my emphasis)

Passive aggressive? Hahaha

Dannihilator 01-12-11 01:13 AM

I wouldn't be surprised at all.

rustybrown 01-12-11 01:14 AM

...Toshi straps.

Squirrelli 01-12-11 01:18 AM

Toshi straps are worth it if only you're a track racer.

They sure are. And some people are more entitled than others on here.

I've never cut a Leader down (that I can recall) - They make bikes that some people like. Tejano has a Visp if I'm not mistaken and he's ok with it. The worst part about cycling is that even though many may not think so, it's VERY fashionable and about fitting in. Resist it.

It's a transitional price point though, might as well invest in a used or entry level clipless setup.

And I bought mine from chari and co. I only used it with my nagasawa when I had it; now it just collects dust in a drawer in my garage back home.

If it makes you happy, then buy it.

The thread is about "bang for the buck" value. Stickers (of any kind) don't add much in terms of actual locomotion on a bicycle. (however they do add +50 HP to cars!)

For the record, we all have lots of things that aren't a great "bang for the buck" value. My TV for example. I like Sony, but an comparable TV of a different brand of similar quality would be about 10-20% less.

The headbadge could be peeled off easily.

Now you're your just exaggerating, its 10-15hp per sticker, depending on sticker, and its location. ;-)

I love the MASH video clips, the bikes also look groovy. I'd never have one, but they look darn sexy.

I know lol =p.

I was being sarcastic XD.

Haha @Vix. Yeeeah I know =p. I meant the logo painting. That hella big "IRO" painted across the side of the frame. Its w/e tho.

Those stickers are still pretty bomb.

@Carleton. Yeah. As for bang for the buck, not to sure yet. Ill let you know if my Omnium falls into the opposite category XD

Anything from Chari & Co.

WoundedKnee 01-12-11 12:22 PM

You're going to save the world, carleton, I just know it!

yummygooey 01-12-11 12:44 PM

Yea, why the heck is that Kashimax frame protector $50?? Isn't it just a piece of springy metal with silicone around it? I can probably make one in my engineering lab for free.
